CONOSTAN® certified mineral oil viscosity standards were developed for various visco meters in conformation with ASTM D2162 standards. The standards are traceable in accordance with National Standards and ASTM & IP methods. With a stability guarantee of up to 2 years the determination of kinematic and dynamic viscosity values were made as per ASTM D445/446 and ISO 3104/3105 and are traceable with NIST.

The CANNON viscosity standards are in conformation with ASTM D 445/446 and ISO 3104/3105 and are traceable to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology). These standards are certified in CANNON's ISO 9001 registered and A2LA-accredited laboratory. The CANNON laboratory is accredited by A2LA for technical competence in calibration with certificate number 1262.01. The accreditation is provided to determine the kinematic and dynamic viscosity including viscosity standards and customer samples in conformation with ISO/IEC 17025. The calibrations are based upon the procedures detailed in ASTM D 2162. NIST delegated CANNON to issue measurement and calibration certificates and providing U.S. National Measurement Standards. Viscosities for all standards sold by CANNON are based on the NIST value of 1.0016 mPas (centipoise) for water at 20°C (68°F).
